Two men were arrested Monday night after police caught them inside the fence at Church Street Auto.
Chief Steve Muntz of the Cynthiana Police Department said officers found Timothy C. Mitchell Jr. and Zachary D. Pollitt inside the back auto lot and that the pair were allegedly attempting to steal catalytic converters.
According to a report filed by Cpl. Walter Tapp, Mitchell, 22, of Paris, was under a jacked-up vehicle with a flashlight and a Sawzall (reciprocating saw). Pollitt, 18, Cynthiana, was allegedly feigning sleep inside a vehicle Mitchell drove to the lot.
