The Cynthiana Country Club Member/Member Tournament sponsored by Bank Trust went to a playoff before the team of Jim Fuller and Gary Philpott were able to grab the championship.
In an unusual development, Philpott was unable to return for the playoff and Fuller took on the duo of Gary Varner and Bob Whitaker for the title.
All involved shot par on the first hole before Fuller birdied the second to win the match.
Whitaker just missed his birdie putt by a fraction of an inch before Fuller drained the eight-foot downhill shot for the win.
Varner and Whitaker were second in the tournament and first in the Calcutta with Fuller and Philpott second.  The Bank Trust event was a 36-hole tournament held on Saturday and Sunday with 62 competitors vying for the championship.
Joe Henson won the first annual John Harrison Memorial Putting competition, which was held on Friday night.
This event, which is named for the late John Harrison who was a long-time Cynthiana Country Club member, was set up by club pro Hank Whalen on the practice putting green at the club.
