Planning Commission members recognized for their service

On May 21 at the regular scheduled Planning Commission meeting Robert (Bob) Owen and James Spears were acknowledged by Tom McKee, State Representative for their service to the Planning Commission Board. Each was awarded a Kentucky Colonel, given for their outstanding service to the community. Serving on the Planning Commission can be a rewarding experience, but it is also a thankless job. Both members are appreciated for committing their personal time to plan reviews, vision meetings, Comprehensive Plan review and work on future land use maps.
