Pinney to host December DAR meeting

The Cynthiana Chapter of the DAR met at the Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library Annex on Oct. 12.
Melinda Rawlings, Regent, called the meeting to order and welcomed members, guest Gail Whitson, and new member Ashley Swainhart.
The DAR Ritual, the “Pledge of Allegiance,” and the “American’s Creed” were recited, followed by singing of the “Star Spangled Banner.”
There was no President General’s message. Judith Rawlings read the National Defense message, and Melinda Rawlings read the Conservation Minute.
Minutes of the Sept. 15 meeting were read and approved. There were no reports or any old business.
Reservations for the Limestone Chapter lecture and tour are due by Oct. 15.
Regent Rawlings gave a talk on the Revolutionary Patriots who settled in Harrison and Bourbon Counties.
The next meeting will be at the home of Karol Pinney on Dec. 8 at 2 p.m.
Benediction was given and the meeting adjourned.
