Owen Christopher Chappel was born to Leslie Ritchie and Chris Chappel of Louisville, Ky. on May 13, 2008 at Baptist East. He weighed 8 lbs. 12 oz.

Maternal grandparents are B.J. and Diane Ritchie of Cynthiana.

Paternal grandparents are Dee Dee and David Chappel of Griffin, Ga.
