The Harrison County Sheriff's Department is continuing to investigate a drowning which occurred on Thursday night.
The name of the 25-year-old victim is not being released. However, according to a statement from the sheriff's department, the victim was from Honduras.
Sheriff Bruce Hampton said in his release that four Hispanic males were fishing at the farm lake off Peak Lane. One of the men stripped off most of his clothes, went around the lake and jumped in to swim. He did not make it across the lake.
While the drowning is believed to be accidental, an autopsy is being requested.
Hampton also said that alcohol was involved.
The lake is located on a farm owned by Tommy McNees and may be known as the Roy Peak Jr. property.
