Alvarez sentenced in 2012 shooting
A Cynthiana woman charged with shooting her husband last February is back in jail after her formal sentencing Tuesday morning.
After entering a plea agreement in January, Kerrie Alvarez was formally sentenced Tuesday in Harrison Circuit Court to three years in prison with probation denied. She was also ordered to pay $60,650 in restitution.
Alvarez was originally charged with first degree assault after she shot Javier Alvarez in the scrotum on Feb. 18, 2012, at their Newsome Avenue residence.
