Harrison County's next school superintendent is Andy Dotson.
The board made its decision Sunday following a two-month search for a replacement of retiring Dr. Roy Woodward.
Dotson, 45, comes to Harrison County via the Kentucky Department of Education. He has served KDE for the last two years as its secondary programs consultant in the Office of Teaching and Learning.
Prior to taking the KDE position, Dotson was principal at Phelps High School in Pike County.
Phelps' 400-plus student body is made up of seventh through 12th grade students.
