The Cynthiana/Harrison County National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Freedom Fund Gala will be held Saturday, Oct. 20 in the Northside Elementary Grade School cafeteria, 2415 US Hwy. 27 N., Cynthiana, Ky.
We are honored to have the Rev. D. Anthony Everett, Associate Director of NCD for African American Ministry as the keynote speaker. The Rev. James Custard, pastor of Nepton Baptist Church, Ewing, Ky., will be a co-chair for the gala. Custard is a member of the Cynthiana/Harrison NAACP and a retired employee of 3M Manufacturing as a Logistics Planner. The theme is “Working in our community for a better tomorrow.” We are genuinely grateful for all who were so generous last year and ask for continued support in ensuring that our work in the community moves forward.
The Cynthiana/Harrison County NAACP 3288 was chartered in 2003. The branch was chartered based on the needs for a nationally recognizes and respected organization to help coordinate the efforts of various organizations to develop leadership within Cynthiana and Harrison County to work to enhance the diversity in the work place and within the educational system and communities across our region. We hope you will come and support us during this event.
