Music Fest is Saturday

The first Cyn City Music Fest will be held at the Handy Park Saturday.

Members of the Cynthiana Fire Department will be organizing the event as a fundraiser for their Relay for Life team.

According to firefighter Joey Nelson, one of the event coordinators, entertainment will begin at 11 a.m. and continue through 9 p.m. The cost will be $10 for all day.

Scheduled artists include JoJo Gunn, Goodtimers, George Molton, Fifth on the Floor and The Jackson Family Band.

"Wherever they can throw a blanket or set a chair," Nelson said of where seating will be available.

Staging will be on the top of the hill at the flag pole.

Nelson asked that those attending the event should use the main gate to the park.
