* Cynthiana Democrat, Nov. 7, 1929 - “A wagon which was built by Henry Cromwell, grandfather of Mayor John M. Cromwell, is still in use in this county on the farm of John Ingles. It is used to haul a portable cane mill. Aside from being of ancient vintage, the wagon has an interesting history having been confiscated during the war by Captain Joe Desha from Colonel Adam Renaker, to carry a large quantity of bacon which had been confiscated from J. W. Peck.
