* Log Cabin, May 4, 1901 -- “Mrs. Sudie Ewalt, agent for the Home Steam Laundry, this week received a handsome new laundry wagon and will call and deliver laundry promptly anywhere in town.”
* Cynthiana Democrat, July, 1960 -- “Sears, Roebuck and Company will open a new catalog order office here around Sept. 1, Herbert Allen Moore announced this week. Moore is owner of the building at 35 E. Pike St., which the mail order firm will occupy. The Harrison Billiard Pool Hall formerly occupied the building. It is now being remodeled for the arrival of Sears.”
