* Western Visitor, Cynthiana, Ky., Oct. 22, 1835 - “Just received and now opening a general assortment of Fall and Winter Goods, which I will sell cheap for cash or country produce. S. F. Tebbs” (This was 19 years before the railroad reached Cynthiana. Mr. Tebbs’ merchandise was probably brought to Marysville (now Claysville) by the river then overland to Cynthiana.)
