Much expected of new parks and recreation board

-A A +A
By Ben Hyatt

As summer is drawing to an end, I hope that recreation will be better defined in the near future.
As many know by now, the county and the city have agreed to enter into an inter-local agreement which will combine all parks and recreation.
First off, let me go on record as saying that I heavily support the decision of the county and city to do so.
After attending several meetings, I understand that the decision has not come without much criticism and non-support for reasons that should have never been stated however, that ship has sailed so I will not address it.
