Organizers of the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day march in downtown Cynthiana this Monday are planning something different this year.
The 2014 edition of the King Day march will be the first not to feature a single keynote speaker at the special service, which will be held at Macedonia Baptist Church on Pearl Street. Instead, marchers and congregants will hear remarks from several local residents, said Kenneth Newby Jr., pastor of the Ebenezer United Methodist Church and one of the key organizers of the annual celebration.
