Millersburg Garden Club celebrates new year, new growth

-A A +A

Millersburg Garden Club is gearing up for a new year and celebrating a growth in membership.
The first scheduled meeting is set for Thursday, March 8 at 11 a.m. The Wallis House, home of the State Headquarters, is the site of the meeting. It will be a Judging Workshop, with three National Garden Club accredited judges, including State President Dianne Caines. Members share the responsibility of judging exhibits, and since there are many new members, a workshop by experts will be very beneficial. The Design Challenge for March, “Unleash Your Power” is also the theme of Caines.
Following the meeting, a soup and sandwich lunch will be served by the Executive Board. The business meeting will be held, at which time all new members and guests will be introduced and welcomed, and the 2012 Yearbook will be reviewed.
The Executive Board consists of Barbara Harris and Hilda Price, co-presidents; Sharon Helphinstine, vice president; Marilyn West, recording secretary; Elaine Deutsch, treasurer; Wilma Cleaver and Janis McCarty, co-corresponding secretaries; and Linda Gillespie, past president and advisor.
