The first-ever Bourbon County Colonel Classic was held Saturday afternoon as the seventh and eighth grade teams of Harrison and Bourbon counties met on the gridiron. Bourbon County came away victorious in both games winning the seventh grade game 14-8, and the eighth grade game 44-20.
The seventh grade team, coached by Eric Reed and Randolph Thomas, played very well, according to middle school head Coach Jim Carr.
“The touchdown that was called back on a procedure penalty was the difference in this game,” he noted.
