Memorial Day observance May 25
The annual Memorial Day Observance will be held Monday, May 25 at 11 a.m. The celebration to honor America and the sacrifices of many will be held on the Main Street Side of the County Courthouse. There will be placing of wreaths on the memorials, short welcome addresses from State Rep. Tom McKee, County Judge Alex Barnett, and Mayor Pro Tem Jack Keith and a keynote address by Lt. Col. Christopher Aycock, US Army. Aycock is a Battalion Commander from Fort McCoy in Wisconsin.
The event will be emceed by Michael Aldridge with the participation of the Air Force Junior ROTC from Harrison County High School. Bring a lawn chair to the court yard for a celebration of America’s freedom and the people who made it possible.
