On Dec. 3, 2011, at 2:30 in the afternoon, Lauren Nicole Lyons and Adam Dee Hill were united in Holy Matrimony at Cynthiana Baptist Church by the Rev. Patrick Whyte.
Lyons is the daughter of Alex Lyons of Cynthiana and Sherri Philpot of Berry, Ky. She is the granddaughter of Ray and Christine Philpot of Berry and William N. Lyons of Robinson and the late Bessie Lyons. She is employed by Clark County Preschool.
Hill is the son of Shannon Hill of Georgetown and Dawn Hill of Cynthiana. He is the grandson of Donald and Stella Hill of Kelat and M.B. and Molly Walters of Cynthiana. He is employed by the United States Postal Service.
The bride wore a white satin gown which she designed and was made by her grandmother, Christine. She wore gloves which her grandmother Christine had worn in her wedding 50 years ago. Her Matron of Honor was her sister, Alexa Biddle. Bridesmaids were Kelsey Cummins, Whitley Smith, Madison Philpot, Lyndsay Whitaker-Prewitt, and Lesley Morris. They wore gowns made of midnight blue satin and carried white roses. The flower girls were Bailey Gasser and Kaylee Dargavell.
The groom’s best man was Nathan Williams. Groomsmen were Timmy Prewitt, Chris Muntz, Aaron Lyons, and Josh Biddle. The ring bearer was the bride’s nephew, Bryson Biddle.
Music was provided by her mother singing, “In My Daughter’s Eyes,” Rachel Thornberry, her friend, sang “How Beautiful,” and her grandmother, Christine, her great-aunts Ima Mullins, Wilma Sissom and Jo Ann Heiret sang “Amazing Grace.”
The reception featuring a buffet, a chocolate bar, a picture booth, music, and dancing was enjoyed by everyone at the Prizing House, which was decorated like a winter wonderland.
