‘Veterans’ Park’ is most popular name for Oddville Avenue park

The contest to name the park on Oddville Avenue is over and a winner has been named.

Out of the 11 entries, Veteran’s Park came out as winner with the most votes - 269 to be exact.

The recreation task force of the Harrison County Tomorrow project came up with the idea to have a contest to name the park and nominations were taken over the summer.

“Because it’s a public park, we wanted the public to have a chance to vote on it,” said committee member Kristin Grenier.
