To the editor:
On May 18, Harrison County residents will be going to the polls to cast their votes for a vital office within the law enforcement community.
I know all three candidates and am friends with all three as well.
I am supporting Roger Fuller to be our Sheriff and ask you to do the same. Roger began his career as a teenager dispatching for the Cynthiana Police Department and then became a dispatcher for the Kentucky State Police/Dry Ridge until his acceptance to become a State Trooper.
During his career with the KSP, he also was a canine officer who worked with the drug interdiction unit. He also worked with the Administrative Office of Court unit until the recent cutbacks in state government, where he was involved with security issues related to the courtroom and judicial officials, which is an area of authority for the Sheriff. Roger is a hard-working, professional law enforcement officer with experiences with all phases of the position.
Roger will uphold the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky and enforce them 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. He will make sure that all calls for service are answered as quickly as possible and provide all citizens with a full-service department.
Roger has been out campaigning throughout Harrison County and wants to let everyone know that he will provide the protection required of the position as Sheriff and his door will always be open to talk with citizens needing his assistance or to answer their questions.
I have known Roger since he was a young boy and coached him in Little League. He will do a great job if elected and I encourage you to pull lever one on Election Day and elect Roger Fuller as Sheriff of Harrison County.
