It’s difficult to relate to a national story unless it directly affects us.
For the families and friends of the nearly 10,000 people who die every year in the United States as a result of drunk driving, the story is painfully real.
Last year in Kentucky alone there were 150 DUI-related deaths and more than 3,000 injuries resulting from 5,600 crashes.
That means that more than 15 DUI-crashes occurred in Kentucky every day.
Just one is too many; 15 is totally unacceptable.
