KSP Citizens’ Academy date changed

The Kentucky State Police Citizens’ Academy that was scheduled to begin tonight has been moved to Thursday, March 14, at Maysville Community and Technical College-Licking Valley Campus in Cynthiana.

The classes will run for 11 weeks from 7-9 p.m. every Thursday with a graduation ceremony to be held on the 11th week.

According to Tpr. David Jones, Public Affairs Officer Dry Ridge Post 6, applications are available at the Dry Ridge Post 6 or online at http://www.kentuckystatepolice.org/posts/post6.htm.

Jones said that during the 11-week period attendees will have an in-depth look at various aspects of KSP as well as an opportunity to interact with the troopers who work in the community.

 Potential applicants can print out an application at the KSP  website and turn it into State Police Post or fill out an electronic application and digitally sign the application then send to Tpr. David P. Jones at davidp.jones@ky.gov.
