Industrial Hemp Bill passes in waning hours of session

Kentucky House of Representatives passed the hemp bill by a vote of 88-4 just before midnight of the last day of the regular session.
No doubt Sen. Paul Hornback, sponsor of the highly publicized Senate Bill 50 “ industrial hemp bill”, had his breath held as the vote was tallied in the Kentucky House of Representatives last Tuesday night.
The house voted on the hemp bill, which creates an administrative framework for industrial hemp production in Kentucky, with just 45 minutes before midnight on the last day of the regular session.
