If the season ended today (I am writing this on Monday), the Cincinnati Reds would be in first place in the National League Central Division.
This is as difficult to believe as it would be if the Cubs were in first. What is wrong with Dusty Baker? He has made several errors in judgment, batting the wrong guy, taking the pitcher out too soon or not soon enough etc; but wow not even Dusty has been able to derail this bunch of Red Legs.
After taking two of three from my Cardinals over the weekend, the Reds now stand one half game in front of the rightful owners of the central division and are playing as well as they can; better than expected.
