To the editor:
My mother and I own the Rainbow Thrift Shop on the corner of Pike and Walnut Street. Anyone who has an emergency or fire, etc. we never turn them away for help with clothes, furniture or anything that is necessary. If it wasn’t for Clarence Horn, John Hodge and the Salvation Army, along with local churches’ participation, a lot of it couldn’t be done because we do it out of our own finances and we are both on a fixed income.
