Homemaker Dues are due now for new or renewing members. There are 13 clubs available active members. Mailbox members are $8. Flashlights are a free give away to everyone who joins. Consider giving a mailbox membership to a friend or shut in.

Holiday Cooking School. Thursday, Dec. 11 at Cedar Ridge Health Care Campus at 5:30 p.m. featuring Cheryl Case, County Extension Agent for Family and Consumer Science and Jara Bauer, R.D. Harrison Memorial Hospital. There is no cost, but please register by calling 234-5510. There will be door prizes, recipes and tasting.

January Quilt Seminar. 2009 Quilt Seminar, Jan. 20-24 at the Lake Cumberland 4-H Education Center (formerly Kentucky Leadership Center) at Jabez. Come by the Extension Office to see the notebook with pictures and descriptions, cost and all registration information. Deadline is Jan. 1.

Small Steps for Health and Wellness Coming In January. Five weeks in January and February, 2009 beginning Monday, Jan. 5 at 1 p.m. There is no cost, but we do request you pre-register. Call the Harrison County Extension Office before Dec. 23. You may leave a message. The Office is closed Dec. 24 thru Jan. 1. If you cannot come on Jan. 5, sign up and get personal information to begin from Cheryl Case, Family and Consumer Science Agent.
