As one of the newest and youngest members of the Barlow Homemakers Club, I learn and laugh about many things that people my age do not. The monthly meetings are full of laughter, lessons and good food. I have learned a great deal from my fellow club members.
Each meeting has a lesson taught by a member in the club. The lesson isn’t just some woman reading in monotone and expecting you to understand her. The members talk about and discuss how they are or will use the information they learn. If someone knows something about the lesson, they are not afraid to speak up and you get to learn something new every time some speaks.
At every meeting you can bet there will be delicious food.
Being the youngest member I get exposed to the world of my elders and with this exposure I get to make new friends that will last a lifetime. To hear stories of how things used to be, and what not makes me giddy. I love to learn new things and what better way to learn than through good hearted women of this county.
I am proud to be a member of the Barlow Homemaker Club and I encourage more families, young and old, to join this organization. Together we can keep learning from these women for a long time.
