Diabetes Cooking School – Thursday, Oct. 22, 29, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., Harrison County Extension Office. Newest information, new recipes and tasting each week. Jara Bauer, Registered Dietitian, Certified Diabetes Educator, Harrison Memorial Hospital and Cheryl Case, County Extension Agent for Family and Consumer Science will teach.

Homemakers Sponsored Blood Drive – Friday, Oct. 23, 1:30-6:30 p.m. at the Harrison County Extension Office. Free t-shirt for donors.

Ornament Workshop – Monday, Oct. 26 at the Harrison County Extension Office, 9 a.m., the classes will be: Star Ornament $2, Sleigh Ornament $1 and Rag Ball Ornament $1. At 5 p.m. the classes will be: Crystal Angel Pin $2, Satin Bell Angel Ornament $2, Folk Art Angel Pin $2.

Quilt Club – Wednesday, Oct. 28, 9 a.m. and for beginners 6 p.m. at the Extension Office. The new project is the Irish Chain Quilt.

What Is Your Stroke Risk? – Thursday, Oct. 29, 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. at the Harrison County Extension Center. Cheryl Case is presenting the lesson. Learn your risk and how to prevent stroke.

Women in Agriculture Conference – Nov. 4-6 in Bowling Green. Deadline to register is Oct. 15.

Blue Hydrangea Quilt Raffle Tickets for Ovarian Cancer – Purchase tickets at the Extension Office, Harrison Memorial Hospital, Hospice and the Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library. Drawing is Dec. 15.

HIM (For Men Only) Revving up for Good Health – Thursday, Nov. 5 at the Harrison County Extension Office. The seminar begins at 8:30 a.m. with breakfast.

Diabetes Eye Screening – Thursday, Nov. 5. The Diabetes Coalition and Dr. Brett Hines are sponsoring this event. For more information call  234-1424.

Annual Craft Marathon – Nov. 7, 10 a.m to 3 p.m. at the Harrison County Extension Office. Call 234-5510 to register. Each class priced separately $1 to $7: Painted Memo Clip, Paper Ornaments, Pins, Old Broad Pin, Reindeer and Angel Pin, Lighted Wine Bottle, Autumn Angel and Pot Holder.

Painted Scare Crow Trivet – Thursday, Nov. 12, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Extension Office. The cost of the class is $20. Deadline is Nov. 5.
