Higdon will study in Japan this summer

Madelyn Higdon of Cynthiana, a Harrison County High School student, has been accepted by Youth For Understanding USA (YFU) as an international high school exchange student. Higdon will travel abroad to live with a host family and participate in a cultural immersion experience on the 2008 YFU Short Term to Japan.

Higdon is a recipient of the Japan-U.S. Senate Youth Exchange (JUSSE) program.YFU USA has the distinction of awarding over 300 scholarship recipients annually thanks to funding from numerous corporate, government and foundation programs.
