Kentucky Senate pushed the legalization of industrial hemp production closer than ever with a vote of 31-6 last week.
Backers of Senate Bill 50, known as the hemp bill, felt a moment of optimism as the senate passed the bill which could lead to Kentucky farmers growing industrial hemp.
According to the Courier-Journal, Agriculture Commissioner James Comer said, “I am extremely proud of the Kentucky state Senate for its commitment to job creation in Kentucky.”
