Health officials proclaim its time to give up tobacco

-A A +A
By Donald Richie

The question Wedco District Health Department tobacco program coordinator Peggy Seithers asked the 100 area students was simple.

What time is it? she asked the crowd of Harrison and Nicholas County kids.

As they looked around for a clock, she gave them their answer: Its time to give up tobacco.

Last Thursday, Wedco hosted the Tobacco Free Its Up to Me tobacco youth conference at Indian Creek Christian Church. The day-long event featured several speakers as well as some activities designed around an anti-tobacco message.
