After having the start of their season delayed twice by rain cancellations, the Harrison County Thorobreds and Fillies finally got their first taste of competition last Thursday while playing host to an All Comers meet on the Hilltop. In the meet that featured seven teams, the Breds took second place overall and the Fillies earned third place honors.
I was pleased with the effort from our team, said Fillies Coach Danny Simpson. With so many first-year runners, it was a real learning experience for them.
Scoring came from many different areas for the Fillies.
