Harrison County High School graduate and Transylvania sophomore Carissa Marksbury recently performed in Transylvania’s annual production, “A Medieval Feast,” presented by Transylvania’s Madrigal Singers and the Medieval Instrumental Ensemble.
Guests took part in a yuletide feast in an atmosphere of heraldry, pageantry and song and were treated to a performance of the Mummer’s Play, which was a feature of medieval gatherings. The evening’s feast was fit for royalty, featuring carved roast beef, roasted vegetables, breads, dessert, coffee and teas.
Marksbury played Lady Cottingly during the performance. She is a French language and literature major at the university.
