The 2013 Harrison County football season officially came to a close Wednesday night as the annual awards banquet was held at the Cynthiana Christian Church.
Following a meal served by Batson Catering, Coach Jim Carr presented the team with the following awards.
Brian Davis was the winner of the Junior Varsity award which goes to the junior varsity player that displays the most varsity promise.
The defensive awards went to Jeffrey Hunter (defensive back), and Christian Sinckler (defensive lineman).
Offensive awards were given to Justin Hunter (wide receiver) and Shaun Wallin, Cody Anderson, John VanHook, Spencer Covington and Dominic Walker (lineman).
Taylor Bolin received the special teams award and VanHook was named the winner of the BRED Award.  The BRED award is given to the player who most emulates the characteristics of what a football player should be.
Following the awards ceremony, former Harrison County football star Teddy Taylor gave the address for the evening. Taylor spoke on the dedication and restraint that the parents of the players must have and the love for the game.
