hchs band students On Saturday, Feb. 23, 12 members of the Harrison County High School Band performed in a concert featuring three honor bands with students selected from high schools from all across Kentucky. The performance was the culmination of a clinic weekend that featured an individual audition, rehearsals, concerts, and master classes. “We had five students selected to perform with the top honor band,” said band director, John Merz. “I was proud of all the kids we had here this weekend. They all did an awesome job.” Three senior band students were also able to use the opportunity to take scholarship auditions and audition for acceptance into the EKU Department of Music.
