Two people have been arrested in connection with an 11-year-old murder case in Carlisle.
Shawn L. Fryman, 36, was arrested last Wednesday, Feb. 26, and charged with the March 31, 2003, murder of David Sadler of Carlisle.
Sadler was found dead inside his residence in Carlisle from a single gunshot wound to the head.
“This broke loose when people started coming forward with more information,” said Tpr. David Jones, public information officer for the Kentucky State Police. “[Fryman] was a suspect all along,” Jones said. “There were enough people who came forward with information that we could make the arrest.”
On Monday, March 3, Kentucky State Police, along with Ptl. Scott Johnson of the Carlisle Police Department, arrested Joshua Abnee, 34, charging him with complicity to commit murder.
Abnee was arrested on Bald Hill Road in Carlisle without incident.
Fryman, formerly of Carlisle, was arrested at his residence on KY 3018 in Harrison County.
According to a press release from the Kentucky State Police, detectives received new information that led to Fryman’s and Abnee’s arrests.
The suspects are being lodged at the Bourbon County Detention Center.
