Traffic Cases
June 7 -- At 10:42 a.m., an injury accident occurred on US 62 E inside the city limits. Angela Curtis of Mt. Olivet was driving east when Benjamin Jones of W. Market St. in Louisville pulled out in front of her from a parking lot. They collided and came to rest on the south shoulder.
June 13 -- A non-injury accident occurred on Twin Creek Road about six miles west of the city limits. Hiram Hall was traveling west when he met oncoming traffic in a curve with limited visibility. Swerving to avoid a collision, the car exited the right shoulder of the road, striking a culvert.
June 15 -- A non-injury accident occurred on KY 36 E about 2.5 miles from the city limits. Michael Phillips of Carlisle hit a deer.
CASE REPORTS
June 2 -- At 11 a.m., Thomas Lemons of Apple Lane reported the theft of his cell phone, ATM card, and food stamp card. One of the suspects, Ruby Coyle aka Elizabeth Coyle, is also wanted for an escapee from Rockcastle County.
June 4 -- At 4:07 p.m., Guy Cook of KY 1743 reported that someone had broken into his home and that a Playstation 3 game console had been stolen. It was the fourth time the console had been stolen. Each time, it had been recovered at a pawn shop in the area. On June 9, the game console was located at Dan’s Discount Jewelry #4 in Georgetown.
June 12 -- At 8:15 a.m., Jerry Lail reported that someone had kicked in the back door of rental property he had been working on and stole several thousands of dollar worth of power tools and hand tools. The tools belonged to Lail, Daryl Creamer and Carla Courtney.
June 13 -- At 10:03 a.m., Harrison County Assistant Superintendent David Case reported that someone had kicked in the door of a residence on New Lair Road owned by the school system. There was evidence of vandalism along with the theft of two copper lines.
June 16 -- At noon, Mark Gentry of KY 1054 reported that he tried to get a loan when he was informed he had bad credit. Checking with a credit investigation company, Experian, Gentry was informed that he had 29 negative items on his report. Several were from Indianapolis, Indiana, Nevada and Texas. Gentry has lived his last 27 years in Kentucky and has no clue how these items got on his credit.
June 16 -- At 12 p.m., Theresa Dibert of Apple Lane reported that someone has been illegally dumping trash on her farm.
June 17 -- At 2:10 p.m., William Fryman, Jr. of US 62 reported that, while cutting hay on his tractor, he observed drivers in a blue, full-size van pull up and steal his irrigation spray gun mounted on a tripod.
CITATIONS
June 11 -- At 3:59 p.m., an arrest warrant was executed against Jacob Dale, 28, on a charge of contempt of court libel/slander. Dale turned himself in.
June 11 -- At 8:36 p.m., an arrest warrant was executed against Robert D. Fryman Jr., 29, of Short Street for theft by failure to make required disposition of property.
June 11 -- At 8:32 p.m., Gerald Wright, Jr., 48, was cited on US 27 for not wearing his seat belt and allowing three others to not wear their seat belts.
June 11 -- At 7:16 p.m., Wayne Reed, 24, was cited on Pleasant St. for not wearing his seat belt, failure to produce an insurance card, failure to notify DOT of address change, and no turn signal.
June 11 -- At 8:15 p.m., Laura Moore, 43, was cited on Pleasant St. for not wearing her seat belt.
June 11 -- At 6:26 p.m., Ricky Hill, 43, was cited on Pleasant St. for not wearing his seat belt.
June 11 -- At 6:18 p.m., Lee Williams, 56, was cited on Pleasant St. for not wearing their seat belt.
June 11 -- At 5:20 p.m., Cody Ward, 22, was cited on Pleasant St. for not wearing his seat belt.
June 11 -- At 5:20 p.m., David Darby, 22, was cited on Pleasant St. for not wearing his seat belt.
June 11 -- At 5:09 p.m., Emily Huffman, 33, was cited on Pleasant St. for not wearing her seat belt.
June 11 -- At 9:02 p.m.,Roque Rojas,  was arrested for DUI on US 27 S. He was also charged with ignoring traffic signs and driving with no operator’s license.
June 11 -- At 6:03 p.m., Terry Powers, 42,  was cited for texting while driving and failure to have an insurance card.
June 11 -- At 9:02 p.m., Froylan Hernandez, 38, was arrested on US 27 S on a charge of public intoxication, 1st and 2nd offense. Hernandez was the passenger in a car where the driver was arrested for DUI. According to the report, he was extremely unsteady on his feet and posed a danger to himself if he tried to walk home.
June 12 -- At 6:30 p.m., Sierra Morgan, 24, was cited for not wearing her seat belt, no insurance card, no registration, and failure to notify of change of address.
June 12 -- At 6:48 p.m., Preston Sexton, 26, was cited on Church St. for failure to wear seat belts, operating on a suspended license, failure to surrender revoked license.
June 12 -- At 7:48 p.m., Andrew Heitfeld, was cited for failure to wear seat belts and produce an insurance card.
June 12 -- At 8 p.m., Randall Herrington Jr., 18, was cited on Church Street for failure to wear seat belts, notify DOT of address change, produce an insurance card, and no registration.
June 12 -- At 8:20 p.m., Rumeal Lewis, 25, was cited for not wearing his seat belt, operating on an expired license, and failure to notify DOT of change of address.
June 12 -- At 8:20 p.m., Kennetha Slone, 29, was cited on KY 3016 for having 2 of 3 occupants not wearing their seat belt, no insurance card, and failure to notify of change of address.
June 12 -- At 6 p.m., Roger Soard, 34, was cited on KY 3016 for not wearing his seat belt.
June 12 -- At 7:55 p.m., Nora Hall, 50, was cited on KY 3016 for not wearing her seat belt.
June 12 -- At 6:50 p.m., Erik Fryman, 27, was cited on KY 3016 for not wearing his seat belt.
June 12 -- At 6:28 p.m., Electra Feeback, 19, was cited on KY 3016 for not wearing her seat belt and driving on a suspended license.
June 12 -- At 6:15 p.m., Paige Baxter, 22, was cited on 3016 for not wearing her seat belt and operating on a suspended license.
June 12 -- At 6:05 p.m., Perry Feeback, 43, was cited on KY 3016 for not wearing her seat belt.
June 15 -- At 11 a.m., Christopher Turner, 41, was arrested on a charge of criminal mischief in the first degree.
June 16 -- At 1:40 p.m., Corey Brandenburg, 24, was arrested at the Harrison Justice Center on warrants for illegally hunting on property without permission, illegally hunting wildlife, and hunting from his vehicle.
June 16 -- At 1:47 p.m., an arrest warrant was executed against Bobby Crump, 38, for resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
June 16 --  At 2:45 p.m., an arrest warrant was served on Mose Cundiff, 35, for Harrison Family Court.
June 16 -- At 2 p.m., Kathleen Whitson, 36, was served a summons to answer charges of theft by deception, checks under $500.
June 16 -- At 3:24 p.m., John Boone, 30, was cited on Main St. for disregarding a stop sign, no driver’s license, no insurance or registration plates, and a failure to wear a seat belt.
June 17 -- At 12 p.m., James Brooks, 67, was cited for no registration plates or receipt and a failure to maintain insurance.
June 19 -- At 11:55 p.m., Tanisha Fletcher was arrested on a charge of criminal respassing in the third degree when she refused to leave private property on the request of the owner and an officer.
