Traffic Cases
April 10 -- At 9:30 p.m., a  non-injury accident occurred on Lower Curry Road 8.5 miles outside of the city. Roy Allen was traveling on Oddville-Sunrise Road when he rounded a curve and lost control of his car. The vehicle overturned on its top and came to rest in the middle of the road.
April 18 -- At 3:10 p.m., a non-injury accident occurred on Shady Nook Pike, six miles east of the city limits. Michael Hayes of Arnold Lane went off the road and struck a tree.
April 19 -- At 6:35 a.m., a non-injury accident occurred on US 62 W over seven miles from town. Wanda Welte of Pleasant Street hit a deer.
April 20 -- At 8:24 p.m., a non-injury accident occurred on Lower Curry Road about five miles north of the city limits. Lindsey Cooper backed her vehicle into a parked car in a driveway.
April 24 -- At 7:16 a.m., a non-injury accident occurred on KY 1032 W, a mile west of the city limits. Casey Turner of Blake Lane was traveling west when he lost control of his car and ran through a farm fence.
April 11 -- At 2:19 p.m. Robert Dunn of Casey Mill Road reported that someone had broken in to his detached garage and stole hardware and extension cords.
April 20 -- At 9 p.m., Jerry Gill of KY 1032 W reported the suspected theft of two Boer goats from his property.
April 21 -- At 1:28 p.m. Patrick Burus of KY 3044 reported that someone had stolen his tractor from an outbuilding while he was at another job. Burus reported that he kept the tractor in the outbuilding with the keys in the ignition.
April 21 -- At 4:00 p.m., Nathan Brooks of Stoney Branch Road reported that he was given a bad check from a Daniel Lee Hurst around April 4. The check was returned with the statement that the account was closed. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that Hurst had stolen several checks from JCSPC Services Inc. and all these checks had been reported stolen with the Harrodsburg Police Department. Hurst was a former employee, but does not work with JCSPC Services.
In a related development, on April 23, Charles Doolin of US 62 E reported that Hurst had passed nine other checks for approximately $3,500. The Community Trust Bank account on which the checks were allegedly written was closed in January 2014.
April 22 -- At 8:40 a.m., Darren Wilson of Wilson’s Auto Repair reported that three customer vehicles in his lot had been damaged overnight. Two had their front windshield broken and another had its rear windshield broken. All the vehicles were parked outside, on the business’ lot.
April 23 -- At 2:00 p.m., Daniel Perkins of KY 1054 reported a case of personal identity theft in association with several charges made on his Farmers Deposit Bank Card. All the charges were made in St. Petersburg, Fla. A report was made to the St. Petersburg Police Department.
April 17 -- At 1:04 a.m., an arrest warrant was executed against Janessa Jolly, 25, of 108 Cherokee Drive on three charges of failure to appear in Harrison District Court.
April 17 -- At 9:27 p.m. an arrest warrant was executed against Miller Commodore, 44, of 171 Nunnelley Road on a  charge of violating probation and no operator’s license for a moped.
April 19 -- At 10:51 p.m. an arrest warrant was executed against David Perry, 31, of 104 Russ Ave. on a charge of violating sex offender prohibitions on using internet chat or social networks.
April 21 -- At 12:02 a.m., an arrest warrant was executed against Curtis Chambers, 41, of 1098 KY 19 on a charge of theft.
