Traffic Cases
Jan. 4 -- At 2:51 a.m., a non-injury accident occurred on US 62 West seven miles outside of downtown. Timothy Emberton of Lexington struck a guard rail and disabled an Enterprise Rental Car.
Jan. 5 -- At 8:19 p.m., an injury accident occurred on KY 36 W 1.5 miles outside of town. Joshua Stanfield of Cynthiana was traveling east when a deer entered the roadway. In his attempt to avoid the deer, Stanfield struck its hindquarters and went over an embankment. The driver was transported to Harrison Memorial for treatment of injuries.
Jan. 11 -- At 6:41 p.m., a non-injury accident occurred on US 62 E about a half-mile outside of town. Darrin Doyle hit a deer.
Jan. 11 -- At 6 a.m., a non-injury accident occurred on KY 36 E about four miles outside of downtown. Kurtis Fields of Falmouth was traveling east in heavy rain. He lost control of the car and struck a farm fence.
Jan. 11 -- At 12:26 a.m., a non-injury accident occurred on KY 36 W three miles outside of downtown. Josh Hubbard of Cynthiana was heading west when he swerved to avoid a deer and ran into a fence.
CASE REPORTS
Jan. 3 -- At 10:02 p.m., Greg Baxter of KY 36 W reported that someone had burglarized his home. Burglars entered through the garage and made off with firearms, knives, a computer system and chainsaw.
Jan. 3 -- At 4:40 p.m. Tammy Buckler of Paris, Ky., reported that someone had broken into her father Frank Gevedon’s home on US 27 N near Berry. Nothing was reported stolen, but there was apparent damage to the residence, outbuilding and camper.
Jan. 3 -- At 7:00 p.m. Carl Cooper of Wornall Lane reported that someone had broken into the barn on his property and stole a floor jack and pneumatic nail gun.
Jan. 4 -- At 3:40 p.m., Roy Roller reported that someone had forced their way into Berry Christian Church on Main Street in Berry and stole a flat panel television set.
Jan. 6 --  At 5:57 p.m., Regina Fogle of Nunnelley Road East reported that someone had stolen checks from her.
Jan. 8 -- At 11:20 a.m., Craig Levi of 1705 Matthews Road reported that someone forced open the kitchen door of his home during the morning and stole coins, electronic equipment and two backpacks.
Jan. 11 -- At 12 p.m., Kristy Turner of KY 36 W reported that someone shattered the rear window of her car when they tried to force it open.
Jan. 11 -- At 5:46 p.m., Marshall Nichols reported that two people were seen entering two mobile homes that he owned on Robinson Berry Road. The mobile homes, which are used to house migrant laborers, had firearms missing.
Jan. 12 -- At 7:15 a.m., Pastor Merrill Mitchell of Unity Christian Church on KY 36 reported that a German Shepherd had approached him in a threatening manner while in the parking lot of his church. Several similar incidents had occurred recently, he said.
Jan. 13 -- At 8:45 a.m., Susan McComas of Magnolia Lane reported that Russell Fox had not paid her proper percentage for the recycling of scrap metal and kitchen cabinets.
CITATIONS
Jan. 6 -- At 9:20 a.m., a bench warrant was executed against Crystal Reece, 26, of Cynthiana on charges of trafficking in controlled substances in the first degree.
Jan. 6 -- At 10 a.m., a bench warrant was executed against Amanda Burns, 31, for theft by deception, cold checks under $500.
Jan. 6 -- At 9:40 a.m. a bench warrant was executed against Geoffrey Saylor, 35, for failure to maintain required insurance.
Jan. 7 -- At 9:45 a.m., a bench warrant was executed against Chastity Lonaker, 26, for burglary in the 2nd degree.
Jan. 7 -- At 10 a.m., a bench warrant was executed against Stephanie Bruin, 35, on a charge of receiving stolen property under $10,000.
Jan. 7 -- At 10:50 a.m., a bench warrant was executed against Robert Asher, 33, on charges of operating on a suspended or revoked driver’s license and contempt of court.
Jan. 8 -- At 7:58 p.m., a bench warrant was executed against Steve Fogle for burglary in the 2nd degree and assault in the 4th degree.
Jan. 10 -- At 2:10 p.m., an arrest warrant was executed against Joshua Griffieth, 34, for contempt of court libel/slander.
Jan. 11 -- At 9:22 a.m., a bench warrant was executed against Elijah Switzer, 28, on a charge of non-support.
