Accident Reports
Sept. 26 - at 5:53 p.m. a non-injury accident occurred on US 27 about 4 miles north of downtown. Trace Byrd was traveling north when he struck a deer crossing the highway. The deer went airborne and struck another car driven by Paul Simpson.
Sept. 28 - at 4:40 p.m. an injury accident occurred on KY 36 about 15 miles. Lanny Setters was traveling east when his car just drifted across the road and into a ditch.
Oct. 3 -- at 4:30 a.m. a non-injury accident occurred on KY 36 three miles outside of town. Charles Herrington struck a cow that had wandered into the roadway.
Case Reports
Sept. 25 -- at 5:15 p.m., Horace Davis reported that someone had taken a trailer that he was going to use to load hay.
Sept. 29 -- at 3:45 a.m. Corey Brandenburg reported that someone had cut the plug wires and broke into his vehicle to steal some items in his car. Some of the items belonged to Jessica Fletcher.
Oct. 1 - at 2:00 p.m. Gloria Russell reported that she had been receiving harassing phone calls from the same person since July of this year.
Oct. 2 -- at 4:50 p.m. Addison Thompson reported that someone had broken into his home and stolen jewelry and electronics.
Sept. 26 -- at 8:12 a.m. a citation was issued to Kristin Adams, 38, for violations of local codes.
Sept. 30 -- at 10:05 a.m. Chad Kiskaden, 32, was arrested for receiving stolen property under $10,000.
Oct. 1 -- at 10:30 a.m. Matthew L. Edmondson, Jr., 24, was arrested for receiving stolen property under $500. A bench warrant was also executed against Edmondson for distributing cold checks under $500 and for cattle not to run at large.
