Traffic Report
Aug. 28 – At 11:20 p.m., an injury accident occurred on KY 1032 seven miles west of downtown. Sierra Ritchie was apparently driving too fast over a hillcrest on the highway. Ritchie lost control, struck an embankment and cut through several trees. Ritchie and passenger William Banks were transported to Harrison Memorial Hospital. Ritchie was treated and released. Banks refused treatment.
Aug. 30 – At 6:24 p.m. a non-injury accident occurred on 3rd street. A vehicle operated by Mark Stephen Lindsay struck a fence and a blue camper top stored next to the fence. After striking the fence, witnesses reported that the driver fled the scene.
Aug. 30 -- At 3:15 p.m. an injury accident occurred on KY 1032 East 11 miles outside of town. Wyatt Cramer was traveling west when a duck or chicken entered the road. The driver over-corrected and struck a wire fence and multiple fence posts.
Aug. 31 – At 9:30 a.m. a non-injury accident occurred on KY 36 1.8 miles from town. Crystal Grove was driving through heavy rain when she lost control of the vehicle on a tight curve.
Aug. 31 -- At 8:22 a.m. a non-injury accident occurred on New Lair Road two miles south of town. James Shields was driving a pick up truck with two loaded tobacco wagons. The truck was pulling into a driveway when it slid in the grass, striking a rock fence.
Sept. 1 -- At 12:20 p.m. a non-injury accident occurred on KY 36 about four miles from town. James Workman was traveling west when he struck a deer that had entered the highway.
Sept. 7 -- At 3:18 a.m. an injury accident occurred on KY 1054 seven miles from town. The single-vehicle accident occurred when Brittany Richardson lost control of her vehicle and it overturned, trapping the driver inside. Richardson was able to free herself by climbing through the sunroof. Due to an injury to her eye, Richardson was transported to UK Hospital for treatment.
Sept. 7 -- At 5:05 p.m., an injury accident occurred on KY 36 west 8.6 miles out of town. Paul Chamberlin, 52, was driving eastbound on highway 36 when the car droppped off an embankment, careened sideways and struck the embankment across the road. Following transportation of Chamberlin to Harrison Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries, the sheriff’s office issued the driver a citation for DUI and operating a vehicle on a suspended license.
Case Reports
Aug. 28 -- At 1:02 a.m. Paula Whitaker reported that someone had broken into her home on 152 Cedarbook Drive. The perpetrator entered through the bedroom window and stole a laptop computer, gold diamond ring, and a gold red ruby ring.
 Aug. 29 -- At 9:34 a.m.Paskel Risner reported that someone had cut both ends of a chain he kept on a gate to his farm and had left the gate open.
Aug. 29 -- At 2:35 p.m. Mark Austin reported that Jim Fulton had trespassed on his property.
Aug. 30 -- At 6:30 p.m. Andrew Relford reported that he had been assaulted by his son, James “Jimmy” Strong.
Aug. 30 -- At 2:00 p.m. John Argo reported that someone had damaged his vehicle while it was parked in the driveway.
Aug. 31 -- At 4:12 p.m. Katherine Brewer reported that she had been in a physical altercation with Sharon McCord.
Sept. 1 -- At 10:30 a.m. Garry Johnson reported that Makenzi Lewis and William Simpson of Georgetown stole prescription medications, cash, and a bank card from a safe in his home sometime between Aug. 1 and Aug. 30.
Sept. 5 -- At 8:10 p.m., Ben Northcutt reported that his son, Travis Northcutt, 28, had stolen the family car and was operating it on a suspended license.
Sept. 5 -- At 2:00 p.m., Paul Preston reported that persons unknown had cut through a fence around abandoned property and had entered the property.

Citations
Aug. 30 -- At 7:30 p.m. a citation was issued to Andrea Fowler, 29, for driving on a suspended license and for registration having been canceled because of no insurance.
Aug. 30 -- At 10:25 p.m. Jamil Fain, 31, was issued a citation for driving with expired license tags.
Sept. 3 -- At 10:57 p.m. Kevin Fogle, 32, was arrested for a  first and second offense of public alcohol intoxication.
Sept. 3 -- At 10:57 p.m. Avril Hubbard, Jr., 34, was arrested on charges of alcohol intoxication in public.
Sept. 4 -- At 10:27 p.m. Michael Wyrick, 63, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to maintain insurance.
