Traffic Cases
The following information from the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office indicates drivers and/or owners whose vehicles were involved in accidents.
Nov. 10 – At 8:45 p.m., a non-injury accident was reported on US 27 seven miles from town. Virgil Sumpter was traveling on US 27 when a deer jumped into the road causing Sumpter to strike the deer.
Nov. 28 – At 7:05 a.m., a non-injury accident was reported on US 62 seven miles from town. Shirley Kostka was stopped behind a school bus due to children boarding the bus and was struck in the rear by Rachel Oswalt.
Nov. 30 – At 7:50 p.m., a non-injury accident was reported on KY 1298. Gregory Bolin was on KY 1298 when his vehicle slipped into neutral and struck a vehicle behind owned by Ronnie Arnett.
Nov. 28 – At 2:45 p.m., Larry Jones reported that he had been chased from his home on KY 1842 by his wife, Rosalin Jones, with a knife.
Nov. 28 – At 2 p.m., Karen Montgomery reported that while she was stripping tobacco on KY 1284, $700 was taken from her purse while it was in her car.
Nov. 16 – At 9 a.m., A Harrison County man reported that his former wife had withdrawn their son from the Harrison County Middle School without permission in order to take them to Stoner Creek Hospital to be evaluated by doctors.
Nov. 29 – At 1 p.m., Sue Northcutt reported that her identity had been used to purchase Dish Network.
Nov. 27 – At 12:20 p.m., a bench warrant was served on Jeanette Duckworth, 30, for harassing communications.
Nov. 27 – At 2:10 p.m., a bench warrant was served on Randall Centers, 51, for second degree bail jumping, possession of marijuana, buying or selling drug paraphernalia and theft by deception including cold checks.
Nov. 30 – At 5:12 p.m., Brenda Prather, 34, was arrested for fourth degree assault.
