Traffic Cases

The following information from the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office indicates drivers and/or owners whose vehicles were involved in accidents.


Aug. 20 – At 9:50 a.m. A non-injury accident occurred on US 62 when Oleg Basin and the wheel of his tractor trailer caught on a guard rail.

Aug. 21 – At 8:25 a.m. A non-injury accident occurred on Ky 1054 nine miles from town. Mark Cason said a dog entered the roadway causing him to hit the dog.

Aug. 17 – At 2 a.m., an injury accident occurred on Shadynook Pike four miles from town. Kevin Garrett was lost control of his vehicle in the curve, which caused him to travel down an earthen embankment and overturn.


Aug. 13 – At 4:27 p.m., Jeremy Garrison report that someone entered his home without permission and took a  number of items, including several guns and copper tubing and $1,000 cash.

Aug. 16 – At 11:00 a.m., Rebecca Broshears reported that someone broke into their home on 4th St. in Berry and took a flat screen television.

Aug. 18 – At 2:35 p.m. Jeremy Keesy reported that he was assaulted while on Cook Road.

Aug. 19 – At 2:25 p.m. Billy England reported that he had prescription medication taken from his home on Nunnelley Rd.

Aug. 20 – 8:02 p.m., Lacy Buckley reported that she received several restricted phone calls from Robert Jacobs.

Aug. 21 – At 8:37 p.m., Elizabeth Wilson reported that she was being harrassed via Facebook by Victor Martinez.


Aug. 17 – At 9:52 a.m., A citation was issued to Jemima Browning, 30, for failure to wear a seatbelt and failure to maintain required insurance.

Aug. 18 – At 3:20 p.m., Christopher Hall, 35, was arrested for public intoxication and failure to wear a seat belt.

Aug. 17 – At 3:14 p.m., Kelly Hudgins, 34, was arrested for operating a motor a vehicle while under the influence, failure to wear a seatbelt, no registration receipt and failure to produce an insurance card.

Aug. 18 – At 3:10 p.m., a criminal summons was issued to Matthew Edmonson, 25, for cattle not to run at large and a bench warrant for theft by unlawful taking.

Aug. 19 – At 9:25 a.m., a bench warrant was issued to Joseph McElfresh, 25, for theft by deception including cold checks.

Aug. 19 – At 10:05 p.m., a warrant was served on Reginald Burnett, 32, for first degree bail jumping, persistent felony offender, and probation violation.
