Harrison County Conservation Breakfast meeting is Feb. 20

-A A +A

The Harrison County Conservation District is hosting the annual Conservation Breakfast meeting on Feb. 20, 2013 at the Cooperative Extension Office. This years program will be, Farming in the 21st Century: a practical approach to improve Soil Health, presented by John Graham, NRCS State Soil Health Specialist.
Soil health is determined by the capacity of a soil to function. How well is your soil functioning to infiltrate water and cycle nutrients to water and feed growing plants? Graham will be presenting information and examples of ways we can successfully farm today, while also improving our soil health.
A meal of sausage, biscuits and gravy, fruit, coffee and juice will be served beginning at 8 a.m. with the program beginning shortly thereafter. Please call ahead if you know you will be attending, last minute attendees are welcome, but the more people we know are coming the better prepared we will be to serve everyone a meal. RSVP by calling Kayleigh Evans at 859-234-5876 or by emailing Kayleigh.evans@ky.nacdnet.net.
