With winter creeping its head around the corner, a reminder to all drivers who have or will be winterizing their vehicles to be sure to dispose of all vehicle fluids safely.
According to the United States Environmental Protection Agency, only one-third of the do-it-yourself oil changes result in the proper disposal of old oil from vehicles.
Due to the number of lakes, creeks and rivers flowing through Harrison County, it is clear and evident where all of the excess vehicle fluids go unless properly disposed.
