Unemployment rates fell in 99 Kentucky counties, including Harrison, between November 2011 and November 2012, while 20 county rates increased and one stayed the same, according to the Kentucky Office of Employment and Training, an agency of the Kentucky Education and Workforce Development Cabinet.
Harrison County’s unemployment dropped from 8.7 percent in November 2011 to 6.9 percent in November 2012.
The Cabinet identifies 640 Harrison County residents as being unemployed in a work force of 9,311.
