To the editor:
There is an increasing awareness among Americans that this nation is headed toward a dangerous direction. Our Christian faith and values, national sovereignty, and the free market economy have all been maligned by the left. During the past four years, we have witnessed an unprecedented assault on basic liberty and constitutional government. The nation many of us grew up in is disappearing.
At this summer’s Democratic National Convention, we heard the statement that “government is the only thing we all belong to.” I disagree and rather say that government belongs to us. By contrast, at the Republican National Convention, a veteran Hollywood actor made the statement, “we own this country and politicians are employees of ours.” I agree and believe it is time to fire some employees.
On Nov. 6, let us do our part to reverse the liberal trend in Washington and Frankfort. Let us support and eject Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan as President and Vice-President, Thomas Massie and Andy Barr as Congressmen, and Bryan Lutz as State Representative.
