Funeral this week for woman hit by vehicle at Walmart

Funeral services will be held Tuesday for the Cynthiana woman who died of injuries she suffered after being struck by an SUV in front of Walmart on Friday.

Sylvia Fight, 74, died about 6 p.m. Friday night, according to Sgt. Wilbur Gross of the Cynthiana Police Department.

Fight was exiting Walmart about 10 a.m. Friday when she was struck by a Chevrolet Trailblazer, driven by Lauren Watts, 24.

She was taken to Harrison Memorial Hospital and airlifted to the University of Kentucky Medical Center where she died of her injuries.
