Seven past graduates will be honored at the 2012 Harrison County Alumni Banquet on Saturday, Nov. 3.
The annual alumni banquet will be held at the Harrison County Cafeteria at 6 p.m., Nov. 3.
This year’s guest speaker will be one of Harrison County High School’s most decorated leaders, former high school band director Bob Gregg.
Both Gregg and his wife Laura dedicated their lives to teaching and understanding music.
Gregg lead the marching Thoroughbreds to 3 state championships over his 30 years as the band director at Harrison County High School.
Gregg went on to be the band director at Williamstown High School before retiring from teaching in 2010.
“This year we are really wanting to pay tribute to the band for all of the support and success they have had,” said Alumni President Ben Clifford. “We are hoping that those who were in band under the direction of Mr. Gregg come out and be recognized for the program.”
Clifford said special attention will be given to the 1982 marching band for their dominating year under Gregg’s direction.
Tickets for the event are $12.50 and will include a steak meal prepared by the Harrison County Beef Cattle Association.
Tickets to the event will be available at Biancke’s and Farmers National Bank.
Donations will also be accepted during the event for the alumni scholarship fund.
